SUNDAY MORNINGS: FOR YOUR FAMILY

At Christ Church Primacy, we’re so glad to welcome children as an important part of our church family. Each Sunday morning, children stay in the main service for a short children’s talk and prayer before heading out to BLAST – our fun, age-specific program designed just for them.
Currently, we have three different children’s groups that meet during the service:

Crèche: Babies and toddlers are very welcome to remain in church during the service and there are some toys provided at the back of church for them to play with. If you wish to take your baby out you can take them to the creche room, or bring them along to Sparklers to join in with the fun there.
Sparklers: Sparklers is a fun, multi-sensory group for children in preschool up to P1. Each week, we will sing some songs and explore the Bible through storytelling, small-world play, sensory play, and crafts. Children are never too small to encounter Jesus, and our prayer is that Sparklers would be an enjoyable space where they start the journey of getting to know Jesus for themselves. Parents are welcome to come along to Sparklers with their child if they want.
BLAST: BLAST (Bible Learning and Sharing Together) is for children P2 -P7. Children play games, explore Bible stories in creative ways, do arts and crafts, pray and enjoy a snack together. We pray that children will ask questions, encounter God’s love for themselves, and learn about what it means to follow Jesus in their everyday lives.

Children are integral to the life of Christ Church Primacy and we seek to involve them in all parts of church life.

Our afterschool family group runs on a Friday afternoon (term time) 2.15 -4 pm. We welcome children from babies to primary school, along with their carers. We do different crafts every week, play board games, have a book corner, Lego, Barbies and lots of other toys.

Adults can enjoy a cuppa and something tasty to eat, and it is a great place to meet new people and have a chat. There is lots of food for the kids to enjoy, including toast, cheese, fruit and sweet treats.

We also have a quiet space where carers can take their children if they need a bit of chill-out time.

Cost: £2.00 per family group
Note: Carers are responsible for their own children throughout the session.

We host occasional Messy Church afternoons where families can come along and explore a Bible story or theme through craft, science, games, talk and activities. After the activities, we enjoy a community meal together.
Keep an eye on social media for our next Messy Church.
